Dementor 1 is already thinking about his Christmas list!
That’s not altogether unexpected, after all it’s never to early to think about important decisions and in childhood is there a decision more important than what the jolly Red Fat Guy (not body shaming) is bringing?
Problem is, he has asked for a gift that even the Argos book won’t feature!
According to his 8 year old mind it’s perfectly reasonable to ask Santa to bring a You Tube Channel package, which after some gentle prodding, resulting in more confusion, lead to laying all our cards on the table and asking just what exactly a You Tube Channel package included?
Turns out it’s everything needed to set up your own channel
Camera, microphone, headset, editing suite and camera friendly (tidier than his) bedroom set! To be fair it’s all probably available separately on Amazon, for a pretty penny. What might be a little more difficult, the millions of subscribers & a shed load of advertising revenue he thinks comes with the ‘package’.
Vlogging, gaming, challenges & unboxing videos are incredibly popular, as I can attest, having spent countless hours of my life subconsciously watching them. The problem my little 8 year old doesn’t seem to get is just how much work goes into even the shabbiest, most amateur of videos
Which leaves me torn between helping him with his new hobby while managing his expectations of achieving instant success.
To complicate issues, I kinda want the advertising revenue, at least enough to buy me a truck...
Who knows, keep your eyes peeled for JB:TV
